Moon Phase Yoga classes are ideal for women struggling with hormonal imbalances such as PMS, infertility, trouble losing weight, and more. Classes will help you manage stress, exercise consistently, deeply connect to your body, and incorporate mindfulness into your daily life.

How it works

Your menstrual cycle’s a big factor contributing to how you feel. Take a look below to see how Moon Phase classes are organized to specifically support each phase. This structure is a guideline to enhance your self-awareness. The intention is to help you begin noticing the subtle (or not so subtle) changes that happen throughout your cycle so that you know your body better.

Menstrual

During your menstrual phase energy levels are at their lowest. Intense exercise can do more harm than good. The best support in this phase is relaxation. Classes include yin, restorative, and yoga Nidra.

Follicular

At the beginning of this phase your energy might be low. As your hormone levels increase your energy will increase too. Slowly build back up with a mix of gentle movement and all level classes.

Ovulatory

Hormone levels rise during this phase giving you lots of energy! Your body is able to burn fat more easily and gain muscle more efficiently. Vinyasa and power yoga classes will build your strength and endurance.

Luteal

At the beginning of this phase your energy will reach its peak. Right before your period starts your energy will drop. Start to slow down and bring your awareness inward with a selection of vinyasa and slow flow classes.

2 live stream workshops each month, 1 around the full moon and 1 around the new moon

The Moon Phase Difference

Creating a habit of practicing yoga is important for consistency but that doesn’t mean it should look the same every day. There’s a time to challenge yourself and a time to nourish yourself. Moon Phase Yoga encourages you to choose classes based on how you’re feeling. Practicing this way will empower you to stay consistent, help you build a sense of respect and love for your body, and support a balanced lifestyle.

During your hormone balancing journey some big changes usually have to happen with your diet and lifestyle. Change is hard. The deep breathing and body awareness that you’ll practice in these yoga classes will help you to relax and be more mindful in your daily life. Ultimately it will be much easier to navigate challenges and listen to your body's wisdom.

Meet Megan

She/Her/Hers

As a teen I thought it was pretty normal to have PMS, painful periods, and acne. As I got older my symptoms turned into fatigue, hair loss, depression, and feeling completely depleted. 

 

Practicing yoga gave me the opportunity to really listen to what my body was trying to tell me, I needed to nourish myself. There’s a beautiful balance in nature all around us. The more I find balance in my own life the better I feel.    

 

Navigating the challenges of healing were manageable thanks to the mindset my yoga practice cultivated. I was less anxious, more confidant, kind to myself, and I felt in control of my health.  

 

I created this yoga space to support balanced lifestyles, spread awareness and resources for women’s health, and create a community of awesome women who can support each other throughout the journey.
